Online visa will help in reducing the risk of using courier services to send your passport to embassies or even the hassle of long lines at the Airport being vetted.
Check out the Uganda visa application process from the Immigration Uganda Website and start an application for a visa. You will be required to provide information about yourself, purpose of your visit and length of stay etc. after which you are informed whether a visa is granted or not. Your application will then be vetted by an immigration officer and reply sent to you in the agreed time period.
All the decisions made concerning your application will be sent you via the email address you used, these can include approval, denial or request for more documents needed before a decision is made to grant or not grant a visa. Please check the website and ensure you have forwarded all the documents required of you as you apply. Starting July 2016 you are all expected to print the online visa and present it at point of arrival to the immigration officer.
Once a visa has been granted, you are asked to print it out and this is the document you present to the immigration officer together with your passport/ valid travel documents at the point of entry. Remember to be specific about the type of visa you require, Uganda visa – tourist visa, East Africa visa that allows you to visit Uganda, Kenya and Rwanda.
