Over the years, we have partnered with Responsible Travel’s Trip for a Trip initiative, helping provide disadvantaged children and young people with an inspiring day out in our local community. Funded by Responsible Travel, around 1% of sales goes towards these experiences, based on a simple idea – for every trip taken, a child benefits from a day out too. It’s a meaningful way travel can help open horizons and create lasting memories. Find out more: https://www.responsibletravel.com/copy/trip-for-a-trip
On this trip, children from a local primary school were able to visit the National Botanical Gardens by Lake Victoria. They enjoyed time at the beach, a boat ride around the lake learning about conservation and ended with a picnic meal in the gardens.
We are grateful for the partnership with Responsible travel running smooth tours for clients in Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya and Tanzania over the years for the conscious traveler. One of the reasons we are passionate abou this work is the authentic community involvement and local ownership of our trips.
