Itinerary for the Uganda Gorilla and Wildlife Safari
Day 1: Welcome to the Pearl of Africa
On arrival at Entebbe international Airport, a representative of Kagera Safaris will be eagerly waiting to receive you and transfer you to your hotel.
Drive time – 20 minutes
Day 2: Travel to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Start the journey to the home of the gentle giants in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for the Ultimate gorilla experience. The journey is long but rewarding when you focus on the gorilla experience and enjoy the sights en-route.
We shall have several stopovers along the way eventually arriving in the park later that evening. (There is an option of flying to Bwindi impenetrable forest).
Drive time – 9 hours OR Scheduled Flight – 1 hour 50 minutes
Day 3: The Uganda Gorilla trekking – Uganda gorilla and Wildlife safari
Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable national park is a rewarding experience. It takes you through the thick impenetrable forest in search of gorillas.
Today morning after an early breakfast, depart with packed lunch. Your driver guide will transfer you to the starting point where you will receive a briefing from the park ranger guide. Your ranger guide will lead the way in the forest first on well cleared paths. Soon you will go off to the bushes and thickets. Eventually with the help of trackers, you will come face to face with the gorillas. You are allowed only 1 hour in the presence of the gorillas. After this experience, hike back.
Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After your breakfast your driver guide will pick you and you start the journey to Queen Elizabeth national park – the most famous park in Uganda.
The drive will take you through Ishasha – the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth national park. It is famous for the tree climbing lions. There are many theories as to why they climb the trees, you will learn more from your tour guide as you do game drive. Along the lions, there are other animals like Elephants, Buffaloes, Kobs, Topi, water bucks and several bird species

Day 5: Game drive and Boat Safari in Queen Elizabeth national park
Queen Elizabeth national park is home to numerous flora and fauna. The great scenery of ridges, forest and crater lakes with the Rwenzori mountains in the back ground make for a great game drive.
The numerous wildlife provides great opportunities for game viewing is morning when the predators are looking out for prey and before they go back into hiding. Enjoy our vehicles that have pop up open roofs for great opportunities for viewing animals. Enjoy the exotic and rare species which include Elephants, Lions, Leopards, Buffaloes, and Uganda Kobs etc.
In the afternoon enjoy a launch cruise on Kazinga Channel – towards Lake Edward. Watch different wild animals come to the water and those that live therein and numerous bird species.
Day 6: End of your Ugandan Gorilla and Wildlife Safari
Today after breakfast, you will transfer to Kampala and proceed to Entebbe international airport for your flight back home. You will have a stopover for lunch at the Equator monument.
