There is an option of gorilla trekking in the beautiful Mgahinga gorilla national park which is home to the Nyakagezi gorilla family. The park is home to three volcanoes namely – Mt Gahinga, Mt Sabyinyo and Mt Muhabura. You can add on volcanoes hiking and Golden monkey trekking while here.

Itinerary
Day 1: Travel to Bwindi forest for Uganda gorilla trekking safari
Take this 3-day Uganda gorilla trekking safari to Bwindi impenetrable national park or Mgahinga gorilla national park. Your Kagera Safaris guide will drive you through Uganda’s countryside. You will have the much needed stop at Uganda’s Equator monument for washroom stop and craft shopping. After the experience, proceed to the park with stopover for lunch and washroom.
Alternatively, take a morning flight to Bwindi forest or Mgahinga gorilla national park.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Uganda – Gorilla Safari
Uganda Gorilla trekking safari starts early morning. Your tour guide will transfer you to the briefing point in the park.
The ranger guide will share a short briefing about the experience in the park. He will then assign a gorilla family to trek. Start your hike in the forest or drive to the starting point.
We advise you to hire a porter to carry your day pack. Sometimes the gorillas are located a distance from the start of your trek. The portar can help push or pull you along the steep slippery paths in the forest.
Day 3: Transfer to Entebbe International Airport – Uganda Gorilla Safari
Today you drive back to Entebbe international Airport. Have lunch at the Equator monument. This marks the end of your Uganda Gorilla trekking safari.
