Explore Kenya on this magical Kenya safari which will give you the best of the Kenyan bush and beach time. Your first stop will be the beautiful Nairobi as you acclimatise to Kenya – you will visit various animal sanctuaries, craft markets and an opportunity to taste Kenyan cuisine. You will then visit the Ol Pejeta Conservancy an award winning conservancy helping in the protection of wildlife especially Rhinos and Chimps. Continue on to Samburu the home to leopards – this park has good chances of leopard sightings. The safari will continue to Lake Naivasha – afresh water lake with several bird species. A day trip to Lake Nakuru national park home to the flamingos, Pelicans and the endangered Rhinos and to Hells Gate national park for a time to walk and cycle among the wildlife. The Maasai Mara which is a huge expanse of breathtaking endless plains and abundant wildlife will give an unforgettable experience in the wilderness. The tour will continue to Amboseli which offers great game viewing with huge herds of elephants and the best views of the iconic Mount Kilimanjaro, world’s tallest free-standing mountain. You will continue in the bush and visit the Tsavo national park which forms the largest protected area in Kenya and is home to most of the larger mammals and vast herds of dust –red elephant. End the trip in Diani on the Indian Ocean coast of Kenya, a beautiful setting for a beach vacation with a backdrop of forests.
DAY 1 – ARRIVAL IN NAIROBI
Arrive in Kenya for the safari to explore the beautiful country. A representative of Kagera Safaris will be waiting at the airport to welcome you and transfer you to your hotel for overnight.

DAY 2 – DISCOVER NAIROBI
Nairobi provides some of the best activities for a day visit. From wildlife sanctuaries to museums or craft markets to cultural experiences. It is not possible to engage in all these activities, a few will be chosen today.
Start with a visit to the Karen Blixen Museum which is a set at the foot of the Ngong hills to learn about her works and time when she lived in Kenya. Then the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage to watch a baby elephant play in the mud and feed. After this, proceed to the Giraffe centre for an experience feeding the giraffe up close and or even a giraffe kiss. The centre serves as a refuge for the endangered Rothchild’s giraffe. The tour will end with a visit to a craft centre where women make beautiful crafts and ceramic work.

DAY 3 – TRANSFER TO OL PEJETA
Today after breakfast, start the drive to the beautiful Ol Pejeta conservancy. Enjoy the views of nature as you drive to this place with a stopover at the Equator monument for photos and souvenir shopping. Take an evening walk after checking in and or relax at the lodge.

DAY 4 & 5 – GAME DRIVE AND CHIMPANZEE EXPERIENCE
Take on a game drive in the morning, enjoy watching the different animals in this beautiful nature habitat. Experience the behind the scenes at the Chimpanzee sanctuary learning about these chimps and their life. Ol Pejeta is an amazing conservation project aimed at providing a sanctuary for primates especially chimpanzees, Rhinos and generate incomes through tourism.

DAY 6 – TRANSFER TO SAMBURU
Leave Ol Pejeta for the beautiful Samburu national reserve north of Ol Pejeta. On arrival, have lunch and go on an afternoon game drive. Look out for the African leopard, giraffes, lions, elephants, cape buffaloes, impalas, water bucks, warthogs, Grant’s gazelle, olive baboons and different species of birds.

DAY 7 – GAME DRIVE
Spend the day on a game drive in Samburu national reserve. The game drives will give you an opportunity to look out for wildlife such as the big 5, zebras, beisa oryx, Somali ostrich, giraffes, waterbucks etc. and sighting of beautiful landscape sightings.
Return to the lodge later in the evening and enjoy a glass of wine over dinner as you reminisce on the day’s sightings.

DAY 8 – TRANSFER TO LAKE NAIVASHA
Depart Samburu this morning and transfer to Lake Naivasha in the Rift Valley region. Enjoy the beautiful scenery of this region and later check in to your lodge. In the afternoon, explore Lake Naivasha with a boat ride and later a short nature walk as you relish the gift of nature.

DAY 9 – DAY TRIP TO LAKE NAKURU
After early breakfast, depart for Lake Nakuru with packed lunch and have a full day tour of the park. Flocks of greater and lesser flamingos are found on this Lake which turns pink hence it is dubbed the pink lake. It is also home to the endangered black and white Rhino, the big cats and other wildlife except the elephants.

DAY 10 – DAY TRIP TO HELLS GATE
Transfer to Hells gate national park and explore the park by taking a nature walk or cycling safari in the park. Enjoy the different wildlife and landscape as you explore this park with scenery right out of the lion king . Visit the geothermal plants and enjoy a swim. Visit the Maasai Mara community centre located in the park to learn more about the Maasai tribe and also contribute to its preservation.

DAY 11 – TRANSFER TO MAASAI MARA
Transfer to Maasai Mara National Reserve. Depending on the stopovers enroute, you will arrive in time for lunch at your lodge. Check in, relax and prepare to take on an evening game drive. This magnificent national reserve is home to a wide variety of wildlife.

DAY 12 & 13 – EXPLORE MAASAI MARA
Spend the day on a game drive viewing Kenya’s finest wildlife. The game drives take us in search of Africa’s big five and other wildlife inhabiting this vast game reserve. You will also have an option for a cultural visit to a Maasai village and a balloon safari to explore the park from the air. During the migration season, enjoy view of the wildebeest and other wildlife migrating and crossing the river as the crocodiles target them for a meal.
