Apoka safari Lodge has 10 expansive rooms with natural canvas walls surround by a rocky kopje with stunning and breathtaking views across the savannah. The rooms have an en-suite bathroom with double sinks and a tropical shower. There is a provision for water which is heated with solar power.
The private verandas on each of the rooms offers visitors views of the wildlife and landscape in the magnificent Kidepo valley national park. There is plenty of places to relax, read and drape oneself because the lodge has inside sitting areas and private verandas. The big hand-hewn beds with soft duvets at the lodge are placed well with mosquito nets, hand-woven woolen carpets, extra-large towels, over-sized dressing gowns to provide a comfortable stay at the lodge.
Apoka safari Lodge also has a swimming pool facility which is deep, cool and is carved out of the big rock offering guests a chance to cool off after the day’s activities. The lodge’s main house has a restaurant which offers three course meals and a lounge where guest can sit back and relax as they take in the beauty of the surrounding environment.

How to get to Apoka Safari Lodge
- Drive from Kampala, the capital city of Uganda via Gulu arriving at the lodge in the evening this is a 12-hour drive, however most people prefer to break the journey in Gulu for overnight.
- Drive from Kampala, the capital city of Uganda via Mbale arriving at the lodge in the evening.
- Take a scheduled or chartered flight from Entebbe or Kajjasi airstrip to Kidepo airstrip.
