Miriam Kyasiimire
Founder and Business Development manager for Kagera Safaris. Miriam is passionate about travel and arranging the same for people visiting East Africa.
From an early age she looked forward to a time of visiting relatives living far from her home while others dreaded it. In 2012, she started Kagera Safaris from a love of travel and nature and a love for community development. She is passionate about creating opportunities for others and her desire is to incorporate travel to national parks with visits to communities so that they benefit directly from tourism income.
She loves sharing knowledge of the different destinations with visitors. She offers a personal touch to every trip – individually tailored and responds to needs and wishes as best as possible.
Anastazia Atukunda
Anastazia is our passionate safari consultant working behind the scenes. She loves to travel and has so far enjoyed visiting the different destinations she offers to clients. Her favorite destination Nyungwe national park and game drives in Murchison falls national park. She looks forward to traveling to Kenya and Tanzania in the near future.
She seamlessly manages the office and organises all the gorilla and chimpanzee permit bookings, lodge bookings and liases with tour guides to ensure a smooth trip.
Jackson Isabirye – Accounting
Jackson studied Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from Makerere University Business School and CPA. He has worked with Kagera Safaris since 2015 providing the stability needed in accounts and finance department.
His love for numbers and attention to detail helps the company stay true to its obligations with all our partners including the tax man. He keeps the company in check by filing monthly taxes, NSSF, paying salaries and ensuring all outgoing payments are made for smooth running of safaris.
In his free time, Jackson enjoys reading and visiting with friends.
