This 8 days Jewels of Kenya Safari gives you the best of Kenya for those seeking wildlife experiences. The safari starts with a visit to Lake Naivasha – afresh water lake with several bird species. A day trip to Lake Nakuru national park home to the flamingos and Pelicans and the endangered Rhinos.
Exploring the Maasai Mara which is a huge expanse of breathtaking endless plains and abundant wildlife. The tour ends in Amboseli National park for the best views of the iconic Mount Kilimanjaro, world’s tallest free-standing mountain.
Day 1: Arrival to Nairobi for the Kenya Safari
Arrive in Nairobi for the Kenya safari. A representative of Kagera Safaris will be waiting at the airport to welcome you and transfer you to your hotel.
Day 2: Transfer to Lake Naivasha – Kenya Safari
Depart Nairobi this morning and transfer to Lake Naivasha arriving in time for lunch. After lunch you, have a short nature walk followed by a boat ride on lake Naivasha.
Drive time – 2 hours
Day 3: Transfer to Maasai Mara
Depart Lake Naivasha and drive to Maasai Mara National Reserve. Upon arrival you will check into the lodge, have lunch and rest. Later, you will take an evening game drive in the Maasai Mara game reserve.
Drive time – 5 hours OR Schedule flight time – 45 minutes

Day 4 & 5: Game drive in Maasai Mara – Kenya Safari
The next days will be spent on game drives viewing Kenya’s finest wildlife. The game drives take us in search of Africa’s big five and other wildlife inhabiting this vast game reserve. You will start very early morning to enjoy the sunrise and increase your potential of sighting the big cuts.
You will also have an option for a cultural visit to a Maasai village. You have an option of exploring the Maasai Mara on a balloon safari.

Day 6: Transfer to Amboseli National park
Take a flight from Masia Mara to Nairobi where you will be transferred by road to Amboseli National park. After short rest embark on a late afternoon tour of the park.
Drive time – 9 hours OR Schedule flight time – 35 minutes
Day 7: Game drive in Amboseli – Kenya Safari
Spend the day exploring the beautiful Amboseli National park. This park is known for its large elephant herds and views of the beautiful Mount Kilimanjaro across the border in Tanzania. The park is home to other big mammals like Giraffes, Buffaloes, Leopards, Hyenas, Lions etc.
Depending on the season of the travel – lake Amboseli might have water or be dry which affects the visibility.
Day 8: Transfer to Nairobi for Departure Flight
This marks the end of your safari, check out of the lodge and transfer to Nairobi for your departure flight.
